#209 Falling Awake
You know what they say, when the temperature is too hot, get out of the oven. But without any care, you’ll fall flat on your face.
When all you want to do is take a nap, but all you get is a butt in your face. However, it does serve Black Hat Cat right. Cats are notorious for putting their butt in your face whenever they’re trying to find a nice resting place.
Also, if you noticed, I’m trying to establish a running gag here. Too soon maybe?
Kind of wanted to watch 50 Shades of Grey last weekend during LOVERS WEEKEND, but didn’t really get the chance to. However, this weekend is Hot Tub Time Machine 2! We are both totally stoked. Really enjoyed the first one when I accidentally watched it at a friends house…I mean, it wasn’t an accident because I proposed it. Just bummed that I never got to see the it when it was first in theaters. But now, yaaay!
Ever have one of those days? You try to be a good person and support your loved one, but they’re JUST. SO. BORING. What happened to them? How’d they get to be so boring? Did work really kill their spirit?
The boy character needs to harness some of that puppy love energy from the previous strip. Either way…
Drawing zombies is pretty fun.
Is this really one of the reasons why dog people love dogs? The neediness? The excitement? Is this what they call love? Is there such a thing as love? I mean, sometimes I just want to come home and relax for two seconds before dealing with the little gremlins.
But, I do have to say that it’s pretty great to feel this needed. And let me tell you, I get extremely jealous when Miss Muppet decides to hang out with Diana more than me. I feel so much rage inside.
Taking some inspiration from good ol’ Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang. Where as Chuck wants so bad to kick that football, this cat wants so bad to have a peaceful nap. But isn’t that what all cats want in the end anyway?
Testing out a new a new lay for my 200TH comic! I saw somewhere online that vertically read strips are the it thing these days because of mobile optimization blah blah blah. But the truth of the matter is that listening to Taylor Swift’s “Shake it Off” usually makes things better.
