Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice opened in theaters last week and I finally got the chance to see it. The critical reviews are terrible. That combined with the extremely long running time (2 hours & 25 minutes!), made me even more wary. However, I’ve enjoyed of of Zack Snyder’s previous films. What was really wrong with Watchmen? What was really wrong with Man of Steel? Entertaining movies in my book.
My only real question is, why bother at all with a “set up movie” for the Justice League? I thought it was pretty exciting when we got a sneak peak at the upcoming heroes when, Batman gets a dream flash in the bat cave, when Wonder Woman makes her discovery, and when Batman asks her to help him find the others.
What I really don’t care about is the Suicide Squad. Sure, watching the bad guys is fun. But I just want to see the heroes doing heroic stuff.
