Yet Another Eternity

“Yet Another Eternity”

The time sink of twilight thrusts forth

An eternity of stasis.

Streaked light, blurred sight, proves daunting

The task of navigation at hand.

Now, like before, am I as drained?

It’s the same as it ever was –

A variety of illusions,

Risky gambles, net zero gains.

Solace in a late evening bought

And paid for by morning’s energy.

Sanity now or much later?

A balancing of mental states!

This guided mind traverses through

Labyrinthine highways in an

Unending, spiraling vortex,

Trapping seconds, minutes, and hours.
