202 Homecoming 12FEB2015 - 300dpi

#202 Homecoming

Is this really one of the reasons why dog people love dogs? The neediness? The excitement? Is this what they call love? Is there such a thing as love? I mean, sometimes I just want to come home and relax for two seconds before dealing with the littleĀ gremlins.

But, I do have to say that it’s pretty great to feel this needed. And let me tell you, I get extremely jealous when Miss Muppet decides to hang out with Diana more than me. I feel so much rage inside.

You are MY dog!

#201 D’Augh Bed

Taking some inspiration from good ol’ Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang. Where as Chuck wants so bad to kick that football, this cat wants so bad to have a peaceful nap. But isn’t that what all cats want in the end anyway?

#200 Shaken & Stirred

Testing out a new a new lay for my 200TH comic! I saw somewhere online that vertically read strips are the it thing these days because of mobile optimization blah blah blah. But the truth of the matter is that listening to Taylor Swift’s “Shake it Off” usually makes things better.

Who Loves Car Rides?

Miss Muppet is actually a very well behaved passenger. Sure she can get excited and her doggy kisses might have a little more meaning than they should, but she’s a good dog. Bottom line, though, you don’t have to live with her.

I’ll trade you the previously distasteful comic for this ultra-cute one about cats. Okay, it’s officially official: I’m a crazy cat man…more cat comics to come. Our neighbors have two kittens that they let run around everywhere, except inside their unit. I’m making friends with them and taking lots of photos. If you follow me on Twitter or Facebook, you already know what I’m talking about.

Anyway, it’s Thanksgiving Eve and I might as well be thankful for people and stuff, like my family and friends and cats.

It’s been a little over two weeks since we found Tucker dead. Poor little guy had something going on inside him that nobody could know about. Can’t say that I’ve ever lost a pet before, I mean we’ve had turtles and birds growing up as a kid, but I never got close to them. They were kind of like a toy that you mostly just looked at and admired. Same with fish. Though, I’m pretty sure Gin and Tonic died due to neglect. But a cat…I still can’t read the book that Inna’s old boss loaned me to help me deal. I open the first page and can’t even make it past the first sentence, “The way to Cat Heaven is a field of sweet grass…” *Choke*

I can’t even begin to imagine what it’ll be like if a person…

On the plus side of things, our remaining cat, Aggie, knows that she’s going to get all the attention. In fact, she’s acting a lot differently than when Tucker was around. She sits on laps now of her own free will. Weird. And she’s always meowing for the cuddles, which I’m sure she learned from Tucker.

I miss the guy’s voice. Every time Aggie makes that face I wonder if she’s wondering where her brother is.

Everyone from every town is so judgmental of new comers…as if there’s no such thing as a learning curve. Whatevs. It’s easy enough to figure out the transit system since it runs consistently and in relatively straight lines.

The only thing I wish I’d brought was a tripod. Taking these action shots is a bitch and it would’ve been better if we could’ve been in more panels together. Oh well.
